I am not totally sure I can keep coming up with clever things to say
if this farce keeps on crashing into the country side for weeks or
longer, but I will do my best. God was kind and dropped me a subject
right off the bat when I logged onto my news feeds this morning.
Mixed in with a piece on a two-headed kitten (Cute in a creepy sort
of way) and an article on nude beaches in Spain (Need more “coverage”
on this subject!) was this little gem which completely illustrates to
me exactly why our so-called Government is so fugged up. It also
gave me a chance to truly rag on the Damnocrats instead of
Reboobicans for once.
After their rather ignominious (love that word) spanking over the
ACA, the Reboobicans actually seem to have discovered a little common
sense. While no one has ever begun to reach an agreement on
Reopening all of the Fed, the Boobs have at least put together a plan
that could reopen certain aspects of it including Veterans Affairs
and Local DC aspects. While this does not fix the overall problem,
it would at least allow certain functions of the Fed to go forward
till some broader solution is found. It ain't nowhere near perfect
and might need some tweaking, but at least someone is trying to
accomplish somefin without screaming, “Die Obamacare Die!”
Despite this being a fairly
reasonable plan, especially coming from Cantservatives, the
Damnocrats have flatly refused to even consider the movements. Won't
even talk about it. What sort of sterling logic are they using to
avoid the topic? What sort of reasoning are they putting forth? “
But other Democrats said Republicans shouldn't be permitted to choose
which agencies should open and which remain shut. “ Truthfully
I only have one problem with this statement, well besides the fact is
was made by a career Pollytickan.
When the Gov Shutdown began, The
POTUS and his Aides picked and chose which aspects of the Fed would
still be funded during the shutdown. Don't get me wrong, I agree
with the things he picked such as making sure our fighting forces
still get paid among other things, BUT (and I know big buts when I
see em) they still picked and chose “which agencies should open and
which remain shut.”
This is at the heart of the
Hypocrisy that is our non-functional Fed. It harkens back to the
Emergency Buyouts that occurred at the start of the Great Recession.
The Fed spent a whole bunch of money shoring up banks and industries
and the Reboobicans screamed foul. They exclaimed at the top of
their aged lungs that it was not the Fed's job to decide which
businesses succeeded and which ones failed. They conveniently
ignored the fact that the Fed has been doing exactly that for a long
time with subsidies and loans and plain old give away money for
everything from Big Agriculture to Big Industry. Whether we want to
admit it or not, the Big Nannies in DC have been supporting
businesses either directly or indirectly and prolly always will till
we fix the joke that is our current Government.
So the Damnocrats are blocking any
attempts by the Reboobicans to salvage any bits of their pride and
the whole thing grinds on. With the Debt Ceiling Disaster looking
just a few short weeks away, a lot of “experts” are thinking that
no real progress will be made until then where the Boobs will double
down on their demands to try and win concessions.
(As a side note here and keep in
mind my knowledge of finances is slightly better than that of your
average rock, I think the whole Debt Ceiling thing is a joke. We
need to stop raising our borrowing limit and start trying to fix the
problems that are causing our Deficit to swell like an infected boil.
I have known people who lived like our Fed does, spending and
borrowing, spending and borrowing until they can't spend anymore.
The only difference was they couldn't magically increase the amount
of money they could borrow again and again and wound up living under
bridges. We need to fix this joke of a system before America is
looking for bridge real estate.)
Circuses around the world are
getting into major trouble because of the cruelty they show to their
performing animals. Big people with guns and clubs are coming in and
stopping the shows to save elephants and tigers that are literally
being tortured to force them to perform. We need some of those big
people to stop us from being tortured by the Circus of Fools in DC.
Does anyone know if P.E.F.I.P. (Protecting Everyone From Idiot
Pollytickans) has a DC branch? The only comfort I can take from all
of this is that, no matter how long the train is eventually it will
stop wrecking and people can begin to clean up the mess. I just hope
it is sooner than later.
