Circus of Fools, Day 6: Yeah yeah I missed a day. Sue me!

“Dear heartless *&$‪#‎s‬ of the world, if you think being furloughed is a paid vacation for the average person, you obviously need to try it. For those who are furloughed and aren't stressed, don't encourage the bottom feeders.”

The above quote is from my amazing wife who, like many many other people is being directly effected by this Governmental (And I do mean MENTAL!) train wreck currently derailing in DC. I can't blame her frustration and poorly disguised cursing one bit since I have read literally hundreds of comments on the Interwebz that essentially states exactly what she is complaining about. How the 100s of 1000s of people laid of because our dysfunctional leaders cannot come to any sort of agreement are getting lovely little vacations at the Public's expense. These know nothing nose breathers need a severe wake up call, preferably with a 2X4 upside the head.
I have news (Well it isn't really news since anyone who can read and string more than three sentences together should already know this) for you people. The vast majority of Furloughed Federal Employees are NOT and I repeat NOT getting paid. Sure, there is a chance that if the Fed can get its head out of its collective butts that they might be reimbursed for time missed once the Gov restarts, but even if that happens, they aren't getting paid right now.
Now some might argue (And Gods knows they do over and over again) that If the Employees aren't working that they shouldn't get paid. After all, they are “sitting at home doing nothing” so why should they draw pay? In actuality, that is a fair question. Under ordinary circumstances, I would be asking it myself. These are far from ordinary circumstances though. These employees aren't sitting at home as their own choice. They haven't gone of strike or just not gone into work. They have been forced by the morons in DC to leave their job site and not work. If my understanding is correct, they cannot even choose to take their own accrued paid leave and vacation time which is pay they have ALREADY earned to compensate for being out of work.
Imagine you are a hard working individual who goes to work every day to earn the money you need to feed your family and pay your bills. Imagine you desperately need your job just to keep your family afloat and healthy. Now imagine some group of idiots who are marginally over you suddenly say, “Hey we can't come to any sort of agreement, so you don't get paid. We know this sucks, but we really don't give a flying flip. Good luck paying your bills.” Which is essentially what has happened.
As this train wreck crashes forward into its second week, good hard working people are being forced to decide what bills to pay and which ones not to pay. They are being forced to decide between making their house note or feeding their family. Meanwhile, the POTUS, House and Senate are sitting high on the Hill with the vast majority of them still pulling in 6 figure salaries. They are doing this while achieving absolutely nothing. No one is talking to anyone and no one seems to be even making the effort to fix the rails before the train wrecks any further down the line.
So before you so called know it alls go around spouting crap about things you know nothing about, stop and think about how you'd feel if the Company/Factory/Business you work for suddenly said, “Well, we can't decide to how to run our business right so we are sending you home without pay. We will prolly need you back sometime so you can't look for another job, but sorry you don't get any money because we are morons.”
Have compassion for the many people who have been furloughed. Remember that they are just like you with families to feed and bills to pay. Always remember the old saying, “There but for the Grace of God go I.” Better yet, remember to have compassion because Karma is a BITCH!
End of Rant
