Okay so I have had this conversation with friends before and may have even blogged about it so if you have read a blog here on a similar subject then....Well suck it up buttercup cause its my blog. I can write about whatever I want. Heck I could just copy and paste blogs from last year if I wanted and call it recycling. But I digress, moving on.
A friend from high school posted an article today exclaiming White Outrage because a young girl had been taken and burned to death. (Not belittling the event, which did happen and was horrific) The article went on to say that 17 Black youths had been arrested for this horrible crime. So after reading through the article, I scrolled to the comments section like I always do. It was filled with "burn them alive" and "cut off (Insert sensitive body part here)" lines. (Side note here, if they ever find the people that did this, I wholeheartedly agree with the above statements.) The poster of the article and the commenters failed to actually research said article so they did not grasp the fact that the monster/s responsible for this act were still at large and that the arrests had nothing to do with the crime in question. Always remember folks, if you are going to be a Racist Jerk, at least be an informed Racist Jerk. Anyhow, moving on...again.
In between the burn and cut comments, there were the ever so predictable "this story is being hidden by Leftest media" lines (It isn't. I found over 20 different pieces including two from Fox News and three from CNN) and "If this had been a Black girl, there would be protesting, rioting and angry shouts from the rooftops posts. Some bright soul even said, "White folks never riot and protest when bad things happen to them" as if this is some sort of badge of honor. I have to ask myself, "Self (Cause that is what I call myself), WTF don't White Folks protest and riot when bad things happen to them? Why do they just kind of shrug and move on with their lives?" My Self usually just kind of looks confused and eatd a cookie, but the question remains.

Whether you agree with the situation or not, you have to admit that when the Black Community feels that a horrible injustice has been done to them, they let their voices be heard. Black Spokespeople from Jackson to Sharpton scream at the top of their lungs and organize protests and marches. People get peeved off and sometimes even violent because some horror has been committed against them. Right or wrong, EVERYONE knows what has happened. Even if you don't have the interwebz and haven't gotten a paper in years, you still know about it because someone you know knows someone who knows someone that knows, you know? White folks? a Big Black Dude wearing a Black Panthers beanie and a Muslim Brotherhood tee shirt could shoot the Pope on national TV while beating a kitten and there'd be no protests. A few mumbles on the comment boards maybe, but no organized protests. You wouldn't hear peep one about the riots going on because White Folks were angry. So you have to ask yourselves...Selves (cause that is what I call yourselves), WTF is wrong with White Folks?
A good example. Recently, a poor helpless peaceful White Protestor was shot in the back with his hands up by Federal agents. (I think I just broke my computer with that lie.) It was hardly hidden, being carried on every major news agency with video showing the horrific murder. (Okay its not dead but it is starting to smoke a little.) So where is the White outrage over his senseless murder? Where are the 1000s of White folks marching in the streets in protest? This American Patriot (My computer just shot me a bird. I need to stop.) was murdered for his beliefs, but aside from some nasty comments on Facebook, you'd think that no one actually cared.
So in the end, I ask you this simple question. If you see a crime committed and you don't protest it, what good are you doing? How are you helping to make your world a better place? I constantly see "Well, X happened to a White person, but you don't see them protesting and rioting." How is this a good thing? (Well except for the riot part that is, rioting is generally a bad thing.) How is you ignoring the injustice being done to people a badge of honor? I close this rant with this quote,
